Opening BOUNDLESS 6 september 17 h CBK Amsterdam

BOUNDLESS kick-off tentoonstelling, CBK Amsterdam, 6 september, 17 uur

Het Amsterdams Grafisch Atelier (AGA) en CBK Amsterdam nodigen u uit op donderdag, 6 september 2012 om 17.00 uur voor de feestelijke opening van BOUNDLESS.

De tentoonstelling is de start van een meerjarig programma waarin kunstenaars en ontwerpers de ruimtelijke grenzen van grafiek onderzoeken.

Tijdens de opening houdt Cornel Bierens een lezing over zijn nieuw te verschijnen publicatie: 'De handgezaagde ziel - De terugkeer van de ambachtelijkheid in de kunst en omstreken’.
Een kennismaking met zijn boek uitgegeven door de Mondriaan Stichting later in 2012.

Er is werk te zien van 26 kunstenaars en vormgevers, cross-overs van grafiek met video kunst, keramiek, textiel, boekkunst.
Jean Bernard Koeman (curator en beeldend kunstenaar) is vormgever van de tentoonstelling.

Artists's meet and greet at AGA 7 september_16 h

Artist's meet and greet for all participants selected for BOUNDLESS at CBK and for the exhibition of artist's books on friday 7 september 16 h at AGA, Laurierstraat 109.
One page of each artist's book will be exhibted in the AGA passage gallery from 6 september - 13 october.
Additionally there is a digital presentation of the books.
The official opening with a lecture by prof. Lisa Kuitert of book sciences, University of Amsterdam will be at friday, 21 september 17 h.
The artist's books will be at show from 21 september - 23 september at AGA. 

vertical screenprint on windows and walls

Stefan Hoffmann uses the special technique of vertical screenprinting on windows and walls.
For temporary projects on windows he works with water based acrylic inks.

Artist's books at BOUNDLESS
Supporting the interest of artists and public in bookmaking Herma Deenen, printmaker at AGA set up an artists's book project and exhibition. 'Book Art executed in printing techniques is three dimensional graphic art and therefore fits the BOUNDLESS concept perfectly.'
35 artists's books created in various graphic techniques will be shown for three days during the weekend of 21 - 23 september open from 12.oo - 17.oo hrs.

Professor Dr. Lisa Kuitert, professor in book history, faculty of the humanities at the University of Amsterdam will open the exhibition at 21 september, 17.oo hrs at Amsterdams Grafisch Atelier, Laurierstraat 109.
