These pieces push the limits of traditional printmaking and pose the question: It is possible to wear a lithograph? I have drawn inspiration from the soft sculptural works of Louise Bourgeois to create an intimate and tactile series of three-dimensional printed works.
Malabsorption, Distention, Intolerance and Trigger are a play on the garlic necklaces thought to ward off evil spirits; their printed 'charms' visually reference the affect garlic can have on the digestive tract. These charms can be removed or disentangled to reconfigure the necklace.
